Client: Rotorua Christmas Parade Charitable Trust
Event Summary: The Rotorua Christmas Parade & Festival is an event created to highlight the festive season in Rotorua. It is a large scale community event with a Parade of community and sponsored floats through the CBD, followed by a festival and evening outdoor movie on our village green.
It is free for families to attend and designed to celebrate the diversity in our community, bring people together and have a great time!
Boost's Involvement: Boost was contacted in August 2016 to help pull the event together. The Trust recognised that they were time-poor and in order for the event to become sustainable they needed the support of a professional event management team. Boost now manage the event in its entirety on behalf of the Trust.
We worked with the event's original concept and added depth, interaction and extra elements to the event. Boost also developed a sustainable fundraising plan, event growth plan and are now implementing and delivering them.
While we were not able to add all of our concepts in the first year, we are really pleased with the effect of the changes we did make, and look forward to working on the Rotorua Christmas Parade & Festival in the future.
The Rotorua Christmas Parade & Festival is scheduled to be held on Saturday December 2nd 2017 at 4pm and will be followed by prize giving and a big screen family movie at the Rotorua Village Green!
